Bookkeeping with Sharna
A personal, jargon-free bookkeeping service for small businesses across Leicestershire and the UK. I created the full brand identity, including logo, brand guidelines and a warm, trustworthy one-page website that makes professional accounting feel approachable.
Brand identity and one-page website for Bookkeeping with Sharna
Bookkeeping with Sharna is an independent bookkeeping and accounts service run by Sharna Storer, an AAT Licensed Accountant with over ten years' experience. She supports sole traders, partnerships and limited companies with bookkeeping, VAT, payroll, CIS, self assessment and year-end accounts. Sharna came to me with a clear point of difference: clients always deal directly with her. She needed a brand and website that carried that personal touch without losing the professionalism people expect from someone handling their finances.
01: The Challenge
Accounting has a trust problem, just not the one you'd expect. Most small business owners already assume their accountant is competent. What puts them off is feeling judged, confused by jargon, or passed around a faceless firm.
Sharna's brand had to solve both sides at once. It needed to feel credible enough to trust with HMRC deadlines, and friendly enough that a tradesperson with a van full of receipts would actually get in touch. It also had to make it easy to pick one service from six without making the offer feel complicated.
02: The Approach
I started with the brand identity. The logo and brand guidelines pair a clean, professional foundation with a handwritten signature element, so Sharna's name reads like a personal sign-off rather than a corporate mark. The guidelines set out the logo usage, colour palette, typography and supporting graphic elements, giving Sharna a consistent toolkit she can use across her website, social media and client documents.
The website follows a deliberate path from reassurance to proof to action. Visitors can:
See straight away who Sharna helps and what she does, with her credentials shown as bold badges (AAT Licensed, MAAT Status, 10+ Years' Experience).
Meet Sharna and understand why she built a one-to-one service.
Browse six clearly laid out services, from bookkeeping and VAT to Making Tax Digital.
Read real client testimonials that speak to the problems her audience actually has.
Find answers to common questions in an FAQ covering MTD, allowable expenses and switching providers.
Book a free consultation through a contact form that lets them select the services they need.
Small touches like the scrolling "Bookkeeping that fits around you" banner and the signature detail keep the page feeling human. The footer carries local search terms covering Leicester, Hinckley and Loughborough to support her local visibility alongside her UK-wide remote work.
Development Type: Squarespace, Custom CSS, Adobe Illustrator
03: The Result
Sharna now has a complete, cohesive brand that feels as personal and dependable as the service she provides. The website gives small business owners exactly what they need to decide: who she is, how she can help, and proof that others trust her. It's professional without being stiff, and makes booking that first conversation feel easy.
