The brief
Stoney's Scooter Shack is a well-loved scooter business in Golborne, Warrington, run by Martin, who has a lifelong passion for scooters. The business sells classic and modern scooters, carries out expert repairs and restorations, and delivers across the UK. Martin needed a modern yet characterful website that reflected his decades of expertise, made it easy for customers to browse bikes and book repairs, and helped more people find the business online.
What I built
I designed and built a Squarespace website with detailed listings for classic and modern scooters, including Vespa, Lambretta, Scomadi and Royal Alloy, which I add to the site for Martin as new stock arrives. Customers can book repairs ranging from minor fixes to full restorations, learn about parts, servicing and UK-wide delivery, and use a dedicated Sell Your Scooter page to offer their own bikes. Testimonials from riders and collectors build trust, and a clear contact page makes it easy to get in touch.
To help the business grow its search visibility, I also created SEO landing pages targeting key services and local searches (e.g. Vespa repairs Warrington), alongside SEO blog content that answers the questions scooter owners search for. Together they help Stoney's appear for more searches and bring new customers to the site.
The approach
To capture the business's personality, I created a clean, bold layout that balances a modern browsing experience with the heritage and community feel of scooter culture. Clear sections for Scooters for Sale, Parts & Services, Repairs and Sell Your Scooter mean customers can get to what they need in a couple of clicks, while the landing pages and blog are linked to the main service pages so visitors arriving from Google always have a clear next step. Custom CSS keeps everything polished and responsive across all screen sizes.
The result
A polished, easy-to-manage website that brings together Stoney's decades of expertise with a user-friendly design. Customers can confidently browse scooters, arrange delivery and book services online, and the ongoing SEO work helps the business reach more riders across Warrington and the UK, while Martin has a professional platform that reflects his passion for keeping the scooter scene alive.
